After a three-week stretch in the familiar surroundings of the Shark Tank At ILT Stadium Southland, the SIT Zero Fees Southland Sharks are on back on the road this week with a Sal’s NBL double-header weekend against the Manawatu Jets and Hawke’s Bay Hawks.
Riding momentum from a four-game winning streak, the Sharks will be looking to keep things rolling but they will have one notable absence this week with their floor general Jarrad Weeks returning to Australia for a family commitment this weekend.
Rest easy Sharks Fans, it is only for this weekend.
Brandon Lucas who made his Sharks’ debut last weekend will again travel with the team after impressing for his new team on the back of just three days’ preparation.
In other team news, Roberto Nelson remains questionable as he recovers from a calf injury which has kept him on the sideline the last two weeks.
The Sharks need just one more win from their final four regular season games to secure a spot alongside the Saints, Rams and Hawks in next month’s Sal’s NBL Final 4.
