Southland boasts a proud history with the game of basketball and after years of hard work it all finally paid off as the Zero Fees Southland Sharks joined the National Basketball League for the first time in 2010. Thanks to a hardworking committee as well as numerous support people all doing their best to keep the dream alive we were able to deliver arguably the most professional organisation, the most fanatical crowds as well as some of the most excitingbasketball the NBL has seen in years. Our Sharks have proven that we can foot it with the best in the country and look to continue to do so in the upcoming 2011 season. Although we have experienced a few hickups in regards to the demise of our offices and the beloved Shark Cage we are all looking to an exciting new season. 2011, the year of the SHARK!
